HIGHLIGHTS

With respect to the approximately 900 exhibits at the EBOARDMUSEUM it always will remain a matter of taste to choose particular highlights .

Some of you will pay appropriate tribute to a red  FARFISA COMPACT  in mint condition , whilst a Synthimaniac might associate the name of another organ brand with ham and eggs . And then there are those , who , only to once touch a  HAMMOND BA PLAYER ORGAN  , drive a thousands of miles .

If you're nasty you can call the  YAMAHA DX 1  an oversized FM piece of furniture , while honest connaisseurs know that this synthesizer always has been an exclusive privilege of the superstars [ Dire Straits , Beach Boys , Deep Purple ] .

Sorry , the marvellous pun with the  RHODES PIANO  only works in German language . Otherwise Mr. Harold Rhodes should be called Mr. Harold Redone ... . Anyway , there won't be many places around , where you can compare all those different keyactions of Rhodes Pianos side by side . And this might be unique for all of our five continents !

If you're a member of the drums'nbass generation you eventually might suppose that Keith Emerson is an agent for dairy products . But if you've been born in the sixties you surely will prefer to inhale the master's sweat at his ex  MOOG RIBBON  . Or that from his  HAMMOND  . Or what's left of his organ .....

This all and much more you will find at the EBOARDMUSEUM .

Here is a small and highly subjective selection of highlights :

For heaven's sake , what's this ?

Underground tickets from London ?

Parking stickers from the Silicon Valley ?

Souvenirs from the recent family outing by the Transsiberian ?

Or maybe soundsaving from the late Seventies ? Ha ha ha ..........

.......... ha ha have I misheard something ?                 At the  RMI KC 2  music is generated by holes ???

Yes , but at least no less remarkable as this way of saving sounds is the whole concept of this  KEYBOARD COMPUTER  by  ROCKY MOUNT INSTRUMENTS  !!!

But aehh - Is there actually any concept ???

Yes , but it's no easy task to understand it . The abundance of controllable parameters is still more sophisticated than the battery of foot controllers !!!

By the way , it's a pity that  FRED ASTAIRE  did pass away ....................

The respectfully  ACE GT 7  is known as the formal prototype for the still more successful  HAMMOND X 5  !

The  GT 7  became a legend with  Georges Fleury  , who recorded with it the very delightful promotion - single for the  LESLIE 760  !!!

Try  " Bi "  and you will see ....................

This high - grade juvenile rhyme is also valid for the  MUTRON BIPHASE  .

With its two phasers , mmh pardon phasors , that can be combined ,
it's bearing the nimbus of the ultimate phase shifter for  RHODES  plus consorts !!!

The design is telling , what kind of target group the  WERSI PIANOSTAR T 2000  was dedicated to .

But : Eight presets with partly very nice sounds that can be mixed , interferences or defined intervals thanks to two channels , vibrato , Hawaii - effect , a VCF with LFO , an octaveshifter that's called Slalom and naturally touch response emphasize the  PIANOSTAR  over typical E - Piano stereotypes .

CHAPEAU "  to the manufacturer from germany !!!

The most sought - after spare part for the  ARP ODYSSEY  ?

No chip , no potentimeter , no transistor , even not the keys !

It's the set of  multicolor  caps for the sliderpots !!!

Seen from this view , the  ODYSSEY  from the  EBOARDMUSEUM  is doing rather fine :-)

The mere by rope controlled registers  [ left foto ]  are indicating , that this organ got something special . When the engineer then additionally hears about an  ELECTROSTATIC GENERATOR  [ center foto ]  that guarantees dynamic sounds within this  DEREUX B  , then tears of joy hardly can be suppressed .

Okay , no reason to hesitate . Let's go to the manuals  [ right foto ]  to chant a  Gloria In Excelsis Dereux  !!!

Besides of its interface - options , the features of the  ROLAND SH 09  ain't spectacular . But those features are working with quality and reliability that's typically for Roland !

This monosynth never had been a big - seller . The more exceptional is an  SH 09  in this mint condition !

Not that often group six makes more fun !!!

No matter if  MEDIUM  ,  SOFT  or  BRILLIANT !!!

Still the  HOHNER CLAVINET D 6  is known as mother of all funk - instruments .

So to speak a motherfunker :-)

A nation , that had to cope with a destiny known as Hiroshima and Nagasaki , has got every kind of justification to find its own way to come to terms with this .

And if the result is called  IBANEZ JETLYZER  - no problem at all !

Additionally to an analogue solid phaser there is a gate - controlled dynamic jet - effect , that .................... - aehm ..... , causes some kind of apocalyptic association .

Did the world of music long for this effect ? I don't suppose this !

But if this one is helping .................... :-)

While we're doing so ....................

A nation , that invented the plum pudding , that refines exquisite dish with peppermint and also knows quite well how to mow , this nation naturally also makes one's mark on furniture in designing high - grade musical instruments :-)

Hidden into this british designed  LAFLEUR  is a  HAMMOND BC  , so a model from the late Thirties , with two electromagnetic Hammond - generators .

That's it about technique . And about the console ?

Marvellous , isn't it ???

Oh my god , all kinds of rumours have been told about the  YAMAHA CS 80  ..........

The CS 80 is heavy !
This ain't true . Most of all those road rollers got more weight !

The CS 80 is pricey !
This ain't true . Right now I did exchange a CS 80 for an Airbus A 320 and even got some money back !

The CS 80 is unreliable !
Had you ever worked with Windows 95 ?

The CS 80 gets you addicted !
This Dr. Marlboro  is claiming too in matters of his products !

The CS 80 is one of the most horny synths ever !
Aehh ..........  -  Yeah that's true !

Only a layman would be carried away and shout  " Hey watch out , a HAMMOND C 3 "  .

The expert however is seeing , that he can't see the switches for the Percussion ..........

Furthermore he's finding out , that he can't find the switches for the Vibrato ..........

And there far right , this indicates an additional Chorusgenerator .

                    That means , this gotta be a , mmhh ..... maybe ..... but what about this console ? ..... okay possibly a .................... no - impossible .....

Reasonable statements on this matter are rewarded with the  COMPLETE  INVENTORY  of the  EBOARDMUSEUM  : >>>>> HERE

And those of you who are interested in further training hardly can await the hopefully soon coming

ULTIMATE HAMMOND BOOK  by  PETER MAYR  and  GERT PRIX  !

Reservations also can be placed >>>>> HERE

The upper one and today extremely rare  CRUMAR MULTIMAN  has been the forerunner to the - at least in Europe - very popular  CRUMAR MULTIMAN S  .

Strings , Brass and Piano - ain't that Multi..... ?

Have you been convinced that modest design of furniture originates in Sweden ?

Here's the proof to the contrary :

The  HOHNER CLAVINET 1  from the Sixties and Trossingen in Germany

Or let me tell it in a different way :  Inspiring Keyboard from a GErman FActory !!!

Haee - are you crazy ??? What about a mass product like the  Deefifty  within the highlights ?

Credit where credit is due !!! The  ROLAND D 50  since its introduction in the year 1987 did lose nothing from its charisma !

Just its factory sounds set the tone of myriads of well known hits !

Apart from minor and thoroughly mechanical weak points it belongs to the most reliable products of the Eighties !

Its straight contours even today make it a favourite for winning each designing award !

And if you have it out with it , you'll discover more spheric and hovering sounds , that even jeopardize gravity !

And finally : Would you blame the  Deefifty  for being one of the most successful synthesizers ever ???

A truely emotional moment at the  EBOARDMUSEUM  :

For the first time since 35 years there's been a reunion of  Hannes Schlader  , organist of the legendary  Bambis  , with  " his "  HAMMOND M 3  .

You could feel [ and hear ] a touch of  Melancholie  at the museum !   Pure emotion ...............

Just two specimen of these precious  RHODES CHROMA  ? I suppose you live a life of luxury ??

No ! That's the minimal setup , if you want to have  one  working  CHROMA  .

Permanent troubles with its power supply , periodically failing voices .................... - with that the  RHODES CHROMA  is a top contender for the election of the most unreliable synthesizer of all times .

On the other hand : Its outstanding sound plus its extensive features compensate for this uptight behaviour .

Whatever - You can't have everything !

But it has to be two  RHODES CHROMA  at least !!!

Never play close chords on a  LOGAN STRING MELODY  .     Except that you prefer that hypermodulating strings - sound of the Seventies .

The true forte of the  STRING MELODY  you will recognize , if you play a portato solo melody with only one register . In this genre it's absolutely first choice .

And who else can serve with 49 [ !!! ] single envelope - generators ?

This is true for both versions of this magnificent Italian String Ensemble , that once also had been distributed by  HOHNER  .

The fundamental differences between a  STRING MELODY  and a  STRING MELODY 2  can be seen in the left foto .

It's been 1901 in Vienna , when the well - known box of bricks  MATADOR  had been invented . With it , for generations children did assemble bridges , create locomotives , construct Eiffeltowers .................... or simply threw the building bricks to the heads of their siblings :-)

This wouldn't be that easy with a  FARFISA MATADOR CR  . The attractive wooden console contains the innards of the legendary  FARFISA - VIP  series , and so represents the rather rare homeversion of this classic organ !

An  IBANEZ ST 1200 BS  DOUBLENECK  at the  EBOARDMUSEUM  ?????

Mmh !

First of all : The humbuckers show , this must be an  - guitar !

Second of all : Where do guitar players perform that complex chords like E - major , A - major and C - major ? On the guitar's fingerBOARD !

Third of all : What does it take to learn that complex chords like E - major , A - major and C - major ? Patience and  MUSE !

Fourth of all : What's in the right hand of a guitar player ? Obviously a plectrUM !

Any more questions ?

A frequently asked question to the  EBOARDMUSEUM  :

May the small  MOOG PRODIGY  be called a real  MOOG  ?

The unmistkable answer from the  EBOARDMUSEUM  :  YESSSS !!!

With its stable oscillators , its warm - sounding and anyway penetrating filter plus its logical layout he's here even one of the front runners in the caste of leadsynths !!!

Around the year 1980  RHODES  did several efforts to save their shares of the market . For instance the  EK 10 MARK 3  or that to 4,5 octaves reduced  FIFTYFOUR  .

The  FIFTYFOUR  took into consideration , that about 1980 one hand of the  Master Of Keys  usually played a  KORG CX 3  or glided over the keys of a  SOLINA STRING ENSEMBLE  . And so they supposed that 54 pianokeys for the other hand might be enough ! So they thought !!!

The  EK 10 MARK 3  was dedicated to participate in the sphere of electronic sounds that became more and more important . So  RHODES  integrated some kind of synthesized sounds to their usual electromechanical piano . With features , that - mmh uups , how should I describe them .......... ???

So what - It will be the best if you discover them by your own - at the  EBOARDMUSEUM  .

This  PPG 1002  from the year 1976 very likely never saw a factory building on the inside .

Rumour has it that the soldering iron of its constructor  Wolfgang Palm  in those days warmed up his living room !

And who knows , maybe the decorative wooden cheeks of the  PPG 1002  once had been Mr. Palm's bookshelf ?

Even godless characters have to accept this : Without Him Above the  HAMMOND E  wouldn't exist :

Only when consecrated men [ and women ??? ] complained about the insufficiency of the HAMMOND models so far , Laurens and his team in the year 1937 decided to incorporate important details of traditional pipe organs into a new model .

For example : The with 2,5 octaves extended basspedal , now in a radial shape !

For example : Couplers for the manuals and the basspedal !

For example : Two swellpedals for an independent control of both manuals !

For example : Optical feedback next to the manuals about the positions of those two swellpedals !

And this was the tool for writing the sermons , wasn't it ?

Whoever wants to argue with voltage controlled synthesis doesn't come past a modularsystem !!!

If that one then works as reliable as the  ROLAND SYSTEM 100 M  -  so much the better :-)

Here you see a more than complete setup containing all kinds of modules that ever have been produced for the  SYSTEM 100 M  .

No wonder that Robert Moog on the left is smiling that relaxed : On top there are his modules , who revolutionized the entire aesthetic in musical matters from the Sixities to the eternity !

Thank you , Bob !!!

STRADIVARI  ,  AMATI  and  EKO !

Three Italian producers of musical instruments with continuous tradition !

The  EBOARDMUSEUM  had to choose from a violin by the first - mentioned noname manufacturer and from a true  EKO SENSOR PIANO .

Naturally they decided on the  EKO SENSOR PIANO  !

Now there are already several of them at the  EBOARDMUSEUM  .

But still not yet serial 0549 !!!!!!!

Here's the story behind   >>>>>

If someone has a problem to get close to a  YAMAHA DX 1  [ see below ] , but doesn't want to turn down the comforts of that many FM operators , this guy will also be satisfied with the  YAMAHA DX 5  .

The ultra light  DX 5  [ measured in YAMAHA dimensions :-) ] is a very pleasant and dependable partner and even surpasses the keyrange of the  DX 1  by full 4,109589 % !!!

Two of the following intros originally for sure hadn't been played with a  MELLOTRON M 400  !

Smoke on the water  ?  Strawberry fields forever  ?  Ha ha said the clown  ?

The solution ?                 Strawberry fields forever  and  Ha ha said the clown  !

Free of doubt !!!     The  M 400  had been introduced 1970 , four years later than the immortalized strawberry fields ! Ha ha :-)

And the remainder should be cleared up with Ritchie Blackmore ..........

Stringmachines like this  EKO STRADIVARIUS  have been involved in the temporarily decline of the Mellotrons .

Anyway the  STRADIVARIUS  ended up on the fringes ! Why ?

Likely it's been the name of the company , which is associated more with low - budget instruments .

But for sure also because the listing of its prominent users is as long as the one from a current american president with regard to his good deeds and ideas ..........

Thanks to  Jean Michel Jarre  ,  Stevie Wonder  or  Keith Emerson  this humiliation didn't happen to the  ELKA SYNTHEX  !

A  SYNTHEX  nowadays is a real  must - have  for a Master Of Keys .

By the way , this special edition goes back directly to the milieu of the ELKA - factory .

And with a bit of luck you'll still find on it the fingerprints of " Mr. Elka " himself ..... :-)

Whoever is delighted with playing doctors and nurses will also play the organs by  DR. BOEHM  devotedly :-)

The legendary model  CNT L  is beyond reproach , and cult long since !

But one mystery still exists :     Why this organ regularly is being offered for  Zehn Pfennig  ?

This is the result , if a traditional piano - and organ manufacturer starts producing synthesizers :

A charming mixture of Biedermeier - Style and Pop - Art !

The very very rare  BALDWIN SYNTHA SOUND  dates from 1972 and can't be compared to any other synthesizer .

Three independent sections can be mixed , triggered and modulated through two oddly big dimensioned wooden bars .

Inclusive of the spring reverb their sound via the built - in speaker always is smooth , and definitely - unique !

It's a fact : During the Sixties the most famous airliner ever had been developed !                                                                                                      Having 4 engines !!!

It's a fact : During the Sixties also the  HAMMOND X 66  had been developed !

Has it been intuition ?  Has it been the spirit of the times ?  Or simply industrial espionage ?                 But why did they hesitate to call the organ  HAMMOND X 747  ?

By the way : Even the weight of those two nearly is the same .......... :-)

                              Video killed the radio star

    The  YAMAHA CP 70  from  Geoff Downes  [  Buggles , Yes , Asia  ]  on stage     >     >     >     >     >     >     >     and now at the  EBOARDMUSEUM !

No matter if Jesaja or Mohammed - This world is big enough for several prophets !!!

Within the  EBOARDMUSEUM  a  PROPHET 5  REV 3.3  and  PROPHET VS  are united Solomonic ,

irrespective of the well - known religious war : analogue versus digital oscillators !!!

Instead of crusade here we're talking about crossmodulation , instead of joyful Mekka a joystick is worshipped .

Hallelujah !!!

But tell me : REV 3.3 with the Prophet 5 , does this really mean  REVEREND ?

The first landing on the moon had happened 6 years before .

And by a margin of 135 years Franz Xaver Gabelsberger invented stenography .

But for a battery pocket or an external power jack you haven't been ready anno 1975 !

So there was nothing left with the  IBANEZ PT 900  but to daily remove the 4 screws on the bottom , to insert a new 9 volts battery .

This phaser with one single adjustable parameter  [ speed ]  had been the booster for the unbelievable successfully  IBANEZ FX  range !

A minimalistic , but all the more important piece of musical history !!!

With the  MOOG SOURCE  the era of digital editing did start !

P. G. , a high - ranking employee of the  EBOARDMUSEUM  shares this secret :

" In a conversation Bob Moog told me in a whisper , that he was not keen on the  MOOG SOURCE  . But this didn't keep me from using the  SOURCE  live for decades and even still today . "

" Because it's simply a pussyhorny synth !!! "                                                                                                We naturally dissociate on this unbridled choice of words by P. G. !               The editor

YAMAHA CS 50  and  YAMAHA CS 60  serving as spare parts store for the  CS 80  ?

This recently had been recommended in a periodical !

Let me tell you : This is an invitation for crime !!

No , no and one more time - no !!!

So , dear SiEssFifty : If you feel chased , you should turn to the EBOARDMUSEUM . Here you're safe from savagery !

Also apart from HAMMOND there are fantastic organs . One of those is the  LOWREY H 1 R  .

Tasteful sounds , sensational hardware and an imposing engine room . That's the way we like it !

Sampling in the year 1980 nearly had been as expensive as filling up today in Austria .

But with USD 10.000,00 the price for the  EMU EMULATOR  then was distinct FAIR . LIGHT was his weight for sure not , thanks to its solid metal chassis .

Or are perhaps the huge 5,25" discs responsible for this ?

Their vodka is unsurpassed !   In endlessly many athletic disciplines they're world class !!   And no one ever made better plastic coachwork than them !!!

To talk nineteen to the dozen - Behind the Iron Curtain they always worked thoroughly !!!!

So at the  EBOARDMUSEUM  position 1 and position 2 are firmly in hands of the quondam Eastern Bloc !!!!!

At voting for the     MOST HORRIBLE KEYACTION     !!!!!!

We proudly present

                                                               WELTMEISTER CLAVISET                                       and                                         POLYVOX POLIVOKS

By the way , at this election not the acoustic potential of the nominees had been the theme , but exclusively the haptic feeling .

And this here is truely unique ! Whatever the meaning of this might be ..........

Congratulations !

With the  DRS 78  ,  DYNACORD  1978 did a great job !

Okay , with today's eyes its reverb density nearly is equal to the hair density of Mister Phil Collins . But that at all doesn't affect the charisma of the DRS 78 !

Why just three of 'em ? Well , getting spare parts in this particular case ain't that easy !

So , who'd like to entrust his  Digital Reverberation System  into loving arms - Here's space left for some more DRS 78 .......... :-)

You're preferring subtle , warm and mellow sounds ? Then stay away from the  FENDER CHROMA POLARIS  !

Your air conditioning is failing ? You wanna do something about the precarious global warming ? An ice - cream cone is your favourite dinner ?

Then you're completely right choosing the  FENDER CHROMA POLARIS  !

Let's forget about those associations with  FENDER RHODES  and  RHODES CHROMA  :  POLARIS  is the perfect naming !!!

Tempo in bpm = m + n - [ 2 r 1 Pi : 2 r 2 Pi ] * x : 3600

With the  WURLITZER SIDEMAN 5000  mathematics make fun after all !

This engineering marvel from the late Fifties is considered to be one of the first rhythm machines ever ,
including such illustrious instruments like Maracas , Temple Block I and Temple Block II .

The multidirectional arranged speakers seem to be a forerunner of Dolby Surround , though here it sounds more like " Surr " than " Round " :-)

!!! A magnificent piece of musical history !!!

Real pianists prefer with the Rhodes the Eighty Eight .

The rest is a matter of taste :

RHODES STAGE PIANO 88 MARK 1                                or                                RHODES STAGE PIANO 88 MARK 2

Then it also can't be that important what's on top of it :

HOHNER PIANET CLAVINET DUO                                  or                                  HOHNER CLAVINET PIANET DUO

The difference between the two ? This you should find out by yourself at your next visit at the EBOARDMUSEUM !

Also the caste of the home organists gets spoilt at the EBOARDMUSEUM !

It's just a pity , that  HAMMOND  with the  AURORA CLASSIC  couldn't transfer the top - quality of the wooden console to the reliability of its mechanical parts .....

A tour at the EBOARDMUSEUM each time anew is exciting . Besides of seeing and playing renowned and classical electronic instruments you're periodically confronted with this question :

What's been the way of thinking during designing this instrument ???

The three octaves of the  DAVOLI DAVOLISINT  in reality only are two ! The grey keys double the white rocker switches . For what ?

Well , also here there's no getting round it but to investigate this by your own at the EBOARDMUSEUM !

Pay attention to the  EXTEND  pitchbend - lever with its Las Vegas design !

The butterfly among electro - pianos .

Search engines don't have much to offer in matters of this  WURLITZER " BUTTERFLY " PIANO 270  . For what ?

This baby is in mint condition !

And man - it rocks !!!

Who am I ?                                            Solution here !

One of an endless number of revolutionary inventions in the name of Hammond :

The  HAMMOND CHORD ORGAN S 100  !

Comprehensive details [ not only to chord organs ] soon will be published in  THE ULTIMATE HAMMOND BOOK  by  PETER MAYR  and  GERT PRIX  !

Reservation  and  inquiries  can  be  placed  here

If your guitar player from time to time gets a silly and degrading facial expression , there naturally can be several reasons for this .

One of it is called  IBANEZ TM 776  :

Watching the respectable artist , seeing him feeding the tube of this  TALKING MACHINE  into his mouth , to suck it , to lap around ..... No , this cunt be accepted . And then he tries to justify this by talking about an  absolutely horny sound  ..........  Oh my god !!!

But the law's the law : This small blue beast not only is a rarity , but actually is the perfect tool for sensuous moments .

Did I say something wrong ?

Scenes from the EBOARDMUSEUM backstage !

Sometimes that's the way new members are arriving here :

If mice are settling in a  SOLTON DOPPLER  rotary - cabinet : This is quite okay . It's just another word for an air conditioned bandhouse - aehh penthouse !

If a  FARFISA DESIREE  homeorgan is stored on a terrace among bags with concrete - No problem ! A terrace still is part of home !

But if you see bricks stacked on the keys of the lower manual , that's going a bit too far !!!!!

How easy could a brick be damaged this way ..........

Oui oui , life is unfair !!! Whereas some of us have to work one's way up to get part of the aristocracy or even have to marry into it , others are born titled .

For decades we longed for the delivery of this crown prince . And he is a truly " von " : mono - fon . When he finally emitted his first sound we rightly were delighted . And many a princess and many a prince couldn't resist its lively curves , aehmm... envelopes .

And who in view of this picture would doubt that the  MINIMOOG VOYAGER ANNIVERSARY EDITION  is actually blue - blooded ?

And he lived happily ever aft.......... No - this synthesizer is immortal even today !!!!!

She's representing level 4 of the non - unlimited  FARFISA COMPACT SCALE  :

FARFISA MINI COMPACT     FARFISA COMPACT     FARFISA COMBO COMPACT     FARFISA COMPACT DELUXE     FARFISA COMPACT DUO

And level 4 stands for high danger : this sound , this design you can't resist ..........

Who ever has played it , reminds the  YAMAHA GS 2  [ the left one ]  as a very very impressive eboard . But whoever had the luck to take a seat behind the  YAMAHA GS 1  [ the right one ]  , he likely won't leave this place that fast again :

The here completely effective polyphonic aftertouch in combination with the subtle pedal - controlled vibrato opens completely new dimensions .

There's not much for editing : tremolo , ensemble , a threeband - eq .....

But maybe that's the reason , that while sitting at the  GS 2  you won't do anything else apart from playing music , playing music , playing music ..........

The instrument of the  GOOD VIBRATIONS  !

Although - too much trembling during playing the  BIG BRIAR ETHERWAVE THEREMIN  ain't the right thing . Quickly your circle of friends could reduce to a reasonable size , if you got troubles with the intonation :-)

The red special - varnish by the way is a tribute to Lew Termen's / Leo Theremin's origins : RRRRUSSSIA !!!

Caution - Here a beast is hiding behind a upright living room design !!!

Feeling the keyaction of the  HOHNER ELECTRAPIANO  is a sensation , its sound unmistakably and rocky !!

No wonder , that among others the great  Friedrich Gulda  promoted this brute !

You're looking for Minimoog Serial 0001 ?

You'll find it at the EBOARDMUSEUM .

Though - 0001 in reality is 1001 . Even a company like Moog then didn't want to show a giveaway .....

Two  HAMMOND L 100  ?  Marvellous !

Two  LESLIE 122  ?  Superb !

Two  LESLIE 760  ?  Not bad !

And what's that special with this ?

HAMMOND L 100  Serial 150399 D  Serial 150400 D

LESLIE 122  Serial F 2794  Serial F 2795

LESLIE 760  Serial FB 15553  Serial FB 15554

If you consider , that all these twins had been separated just after their birth , you have to nod assent , that the EBOARDMUSEUM with this family reunification meets its high social expectations :-)

Thanks to its slider - controls , editing the  ARP 2600  is a pleasure for your eyes .

And thanks to  BIRDLAND  the sound - potential of this synth is revealed for the eternity !

What do you say , who's been first : The hen or the egg ?

In the beginning there was  HOHNER  ! Then the  EGG [ BASSET ] . Followed by the  BASS 2  . And finally the  BASS 3  !

What about the hen ??? She periodically gets strange emails ..........

Likely sent by a rooster : " Get a bigger cock .......... "

Sheer luxury  -  YAMAHA DX 1

If you want to relish the view of the impressive DX 1 panel please turn off the light >>>>>

THE STORY OF  RED ORGANS  - PART 1

Okay , I confess : I adore red organs . Even if they're sounding like the  GEM P DELUXE  .....

Okay , I confess : I adore blue synths . Particularly if they're sounding like the  ROLAND SH 101  .....

No matter what kind of model :  MELLOTRONes  are and always have been special rarities . Even worse , if it's a  MK FIVE  with a total quantity of about 30 specimen !!!

And what about , if on its keys you still find the fingerprints of  Edgar Froese  and  Achim Roedelius  ???

As naturally each of us for sure knows , that the  RHODES PIANO BASS  once upon a time had been the substitute for the bass player with the Doors , we hesitate to mention this fact . For this you won't find any indication here , that the bass player of a very famous band of the sixties [ the Doors , to be precise ] had been replaced by this instrument . But in case you don't know it , we're happy to point out to the fact , that the RHODES PIANO BASS many years ago had been the substitute for the Doors' bass player , but actually we assume , that you already know , that this instrument then with a very famous band of the sixties .......

By the way , this specimen got an extra low pass filter as well as hammer tips made of steel . It results in a sensational sound that's played on a keyboard , whose action is sensational as well !!!

No wonder , that the keyminal investigation department in matters of the  SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS PROPHET 10  claims a gun licence . In Double + Unison Mode at the latest there are 10 analogous oscillators , who become a serious danger . For every membrane . For each auditory canal . And for every competitor !

Taurus ( lat. ) : the bull , -'s ; m. Also many a  MOOG TAURUS  had its major performance in a Spanish ring . And was able to leave it without being massacred beforehand .

This specimen retired to the EBOARDMUSEUM . So to speak a special kind of protection of endangered species :-)

The right pedal is self - explanatory . The pedal in the middle ? It activates the chorus respectively the vibrato in well - known quality made by Boss . And the left pedal ? Aloha e !!! It controls the pitchbending and immediately transports us to a palm beach , Bacardi and naked beauties including !

With that it's definite that the  ROLAND MP 700  works with electronic tone generators . I suppose it's no coincidence that its visual effect reminds us of the Rhodes Suitcase Piano . And its sound ? Well , aehh , I guess , oops , aehh , actually not that ..... - you should test it at your next visit at the EBOARDMUSEUM . Aloha e !!!

No doubt that our line of business gets flooded with English phrases ! Ja , das stiiiemmt !!! So your heart warms up , reading labellings like  ABKLINGEFFEKT  ,  KLANGBLENDE  and  STARK - SCHWACH  .

Also some stops of the  AHLBORN SONETT DE LUXE  like  SCHALMEI  ,  WALDHORN  and  GAMBA  remind us , that sacred instruments are highly under - represented at the EBOARDMUSEUM . And this , although just museums depend on the favour of all kinds of gods .....

Und das stiiiemmt wirklich !

1999 in California this unique specimen of a  YAMAHA CP 80 M  with Perspextop has been scored as the most beautiful keyboard !!!

Okay - The pianist then hadn't been part of the foto .......... :-)

KURZWEIL 250

It's a pity that its patron Stevie Wonder can " see " this tremendous instrument inevitably just by touching !

It's a 50 : 50 chance that this [ ! ]  LINN LM 1  played the drums for Falco's world success Der Kommissar  .

The final truth only know the desoxyribonucleinacid and just -  Der Kommissar  .

YAMAHA YC 45 D

The top of the line model of YAMAHA's YC series incorporates several sensational features :

Modulation by lateral key movement , pitchribbon and fuzz as well as the from the CS 80 well - known miniswitches for the presets .

Naturally you get proud , knowing that this  MOOG LIBERATION  has been preowned by Geoff Downes [ Yes , Asia , Buggles ] . But just as sensational is its flightcase , labelled [ by his roadie ? ]  KORG LIBERATOR  !!!

It's been the Austrian chancellor Bruno Kreisky who said : " Dear Sir , first you should learn about history ..... "

HAMMOND BA  , the only Hammond ever that used rubber hoses ! This model has been produced exclusively during the year 1938 in an edition of less than 200 specimen !!!

And how many of them are still around ?

Its sonority ? No . Its ergonomics ? No . Its design ? No . Its wide range of sounds ? No . Its shade ? Yeah !

To be true , for sure you've heard much more convincing strings than those of the  ELKARHAPSODY  . And it's only cold comfort that its user listing includes names like Supertramp and Jean Michel Jarre .

But this special edition in beige .....

Waiter , one more cappuccino please !

For heaven's sake , what's this ???

A quick glance at the EBOARDMUSEUM's  LIBRARY  . You're looking for the original reviews of the Prophet 5 from 1978 ? An issue of the Fachblatt [ who still can remember -:) ] from the year 1976 ? The complete edition of the German periodicals Keyboards and Keys ? Or a 1980 - Tastenwelt ?

Oh , I see - you prefer to read magazines written in English ! What about an issue of Contemporary Keyboard from the Eighties ? Or Future Music from the year 2002 ?

Or you're in need for a Service Manual , an Owner's Manual ? With the aid of a data base your inquiries can be answered immediately .

" What did you say ? Micky Mouse , volume 135 ? Wait a moment , I'm going to have a look at the playroom ..... "

Six times  LESLIE 760

Okay , the white one far left is the victim of a minimalist . And the last but one had been aluminized by its preowner , Keith Emerson .

But all those other subtle differences , they are original .

We think that the subsequent pun is worth for having lessons in German language !?! :

This  HAMMOND M 2  from 1952 is one of a handful in still original condition !

That means : NO retrofitted Percussion , that regularly had been installed during past decades to convert true M 2 into faked M 3 . And even the pushbutton [ ! ] for the starting motor underneath the manuals still is the original one and would do credit to each Volkswagen Kaefer from the Fifties :-)

The since Stevie Wonder legendary red and white coloured  HOHNER CLAVINET C  has a counterpart that technically is nearly identical   -

the  ECHOLETTE BEAT SPINETT  !

This licensed manufacture is that exceptional , that even its inventor no more could remind of it !!!

According to our level of knowledge there are two ECHOLETTE BEAT SPINETT in all ! Or is someone out there who knows more about it ? Then please share your experience and send a mail to the EBOARDMUSEUM : PRIX@CHELLO.AT

That young , and even at the museum ?

If the internal sounds and the keyboard of the  GEM PROMEGA 3  are museum pieces , this is a matter of taste . But if we're talking about design and ergonomics , then this masterkeyboard is the true Master Of All Keyboards !!! A sensation from the year 2002 !!!

Boom - czack - a boom boom czack .................................

IKUTARO KAKEHASHI - the founder of the Roland corporation - tells : The  RHYTHM ACE FR 1  was the first automated ACE rhythm unit . As we had different ideas about what a Bossa Nova should sound like , I finally made the last - minute decision to insert the pattern from " Girl from Ipanema " . I hate to think what the result would have been if we had chosen the wrong pattern for the then  [ 1967 ! ]  so popular Bossa Nova .

Boom - czack - a boom boom czack .................................

The mere look into the deep blue eye of its pilotlight on the right - hand side guarantees

love at first sight .............

If they'd interchanged the first name and the last name of this  KORG 900 PS  , then we'd have a KORG PS 900 , and thus one more sample of KORG's legendary Polyphon Synthesizers . What a pity ! In this case the 900 PS is [ just ? ] a Preset Synthesizer and so a direct competitor to ROLAND's SH 1000 and YAMAHA's SY 1 .

Remarkable is the chromium plated rod that runs the length of the keyboard in front of the keys . It serves as cheap alternative to the much more complex aftertouch .

By  JUPITER !!!

Here meets the whole family !  JUPITER 4  ,  JUPITER 6  and  JUPITER 8  !!! Let's clink a wild boar ! By Teutates !!!

THE STORY OF  RED ORGANS  - PART 2

Cheesy sound and hip design !

Austria's response to the legendary VOX Organs : the ultra rare  AUSTROVOX FUTURAMA  !

KORG VOCODER VC 10      at the BROCHURE                                   KORG VOCODER VC 10      at the EBOARDMUSEUM

What's the clearly visible technical difference between those two ?     No , it's not the broken key A in the right foto :-)

For the correct idea you'll get the complete inventory of the  EBOARDMUSEUM  free of charge !!!

Mmh , only the listing of the inventory - naturally :-)

Please mail your discovery and your adress here .

Do you remember ?

The whole world rushed towards the SOLINA STRING ENSEMBLE and missed , that there are plenty more - substantial better - Stringmachines .

For example the  YAMAHA SS 30  : very exclusive , very rare and admittedly very expensive . Here in mint condition at the EBOARDMUSEUM .

With the  YAMAHA B 35  below we chose a dignified stand !

B 3

for EUR 5,50 !!!

The name of the guy who's sitting relaxed on top to the  MELLOTRON FX CONSOLE  is Richard Starkey . Some prefer to call him Ringo Starr .

But what about a drummer at the EBOARDMUSEUM ???

 HOHNER CLAVIPHON

This is the unique prototype of the renowned HOHNER CLAVINET !!!

Further highlights will be presented here very soon .
